Abstract

One of the paradoxes facing degrowth is the need to provide shelter to the growing global population. In this context, practices and public policies of urban planning and architecture are vital. Urban recycling offers a sharp look at public policies in Latin America and Chile, discussing the need - in dialogue with the ideas of degrowth - to promote housing in existing areas close to workplaces, which encourages an exchange that reduces capital’s exploitation of time.
