Automated regression testing of complex mission control applications

Abstract

Four years ago a methodology to introduce test automation in the lifecycle of Ground Segment products was proposed and developed. Since then, the approach has been consolidated and validated in a number of projects. The automation approach has improved error detection and simplified regression testing. This papers gives an overview of the consolidated and finalised system and provides an insight into the achievements and results as well as the potential improvements that are planned for the future. © 2010 by ESA.
