KOMUNIKASI ANGGOTA KELOMPOK SUPPORTER SINGA MANIA DALAM MENJAGA KEKOMPAKAN

Abstract

This research is entitled Communication of Singa Mania Supporter Group Members inMaintaining Solidarity. This study aims to determine the way of communication carried out bymembers of the Singa Mania group in maintaining cohesiveness. This research is also based on thetheory of group thinking initiated by Irvin L. Janis which explains that cohesiveness will be formedthrough intensive communication and high enthusiasm from each member. This research usesdescriptive qualitative method. The researcher chose four informants as information material. Tocollect data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results ofthis study show that communication plays a major role in maintaining the integrity and cohesivenessof the Singa Mania group, seen from the way they communicate such as doing weekly social mediameetings and through social media. High communication intensity makes the relationship betweengroup members even tighter, so that cohesiveness can be maintained.
