Abstract

The rapid advent of technology and current lifestyle has led humankind to lose track of certain luxuries such as health and time and because of this fast paced, technologically subsumed life that people live in, right now people have accustomed to quick-cut technological solutions that help us in every facet of life, even for simple activity like hydration. Thus, to suit the needs of the modern lifestyle and to establish the importance of hydration in one's life, the Internet of Things based Water Bottle for Better Health (IoT-WBH) has been developed. The aim of this paper is to create IoT-WBH which is capable of reiterating the importance of hydration and establishing good habits pertaining to water consumption. This water bottle has the capability of reminding the user of his/her daily intake and to ensure timely reminders are provided so that they attain their daily goal, it is proficient to track the temperature of the water and remind the user whether it's safe to drink or not. This paper consists of the analysis, rudimentary module design, integrated module design, design strategy, estimated cost analysis as well as market viability pertaining to the smart water bottle, as well as an in depth look at all the sensors and hardware that is required to make this project functional.
