The accelerated pace of change in recent years requires a serious rethinking of the role of the leader in the industrial enterprise. Previous fundamental management models which aimed at control, sanctions and the provision of material incentives does not cohere any longer with the emerging spirit of adaptability, agility, innovation which are needed to boost any business in the uncertain VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world. The aim of the present study is to identify those specific leadership behaviors that lead to the growth of modern industrial enterprises. The analysis is based on secondary statistics of 2020 Future of Leadership Global Executive Study, PwC US Pulse Survey, Deloitte 2020 Global Human Capital Trends report, Gartner Researches, McKinsey Research, etc. Some behavioral norms of leadership are analyzed. The old and the new leadership paradigms are compared and those specific leadership behaviors that lead to the growth of modern industrial enterprises are outlined. The results show that the leadership paradigm is core to achieve growth and competitiveness of industrial enterprises.
