Aids for mechanical cleaning of teeth with fixed braces

Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: To evaluate the effects of additional aids to dental cleaning in patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment, compared with toothbrushing alone, for the prevention and control of: dental plaque; periodontal diseases (gingivitis and periodontitis); white spot lesions (demineralisation); and dental caries.
