Abstract

The simulations of pulse-induced magnetization-rotation experiments in Permalloy were presented. These help to explain the time dependence of experimental results and lead to temporary domain formation ('thermal ripple'). It was found that thermal fluctuations can have this effect even without easy-axis fluctuations and cause the magnetization to tarry metastably in hard direction.
