Morosari is a water body near settlements that are affected by anthropogenic activities, and have mangrove ecosystems that are prone to erosion. This situation affects the condition of total suspended solid (TSS) and total organic matter (TOM) in these waters. The concentration of TSS and TOM in the waters can affect the quality of the waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of TSS and TOM concentrations in Morosari waters. Field research was carried out on October 14, 2022, and analysis of samples were conducted in laboratories. The main research data were data on water quality, surface current velocity, TSS, and TOM. Supporting data was tidal data of Morosari waters. This research used a descriptive-quantitative method. The research point were determined using purposive sampling method. The research was conducted at low tide to high tide. From the results obtained, TSS values ranged from 39–165.6 mg/l, with the highest values being at station 3 and the estuary area with values tending to decrease towards the open sea. The TSS concentration is high and exceeded the limit that is good for aquatic organisms. TOM values ranged from 9.334–13.61 mg/l, with the highest values at station 3 and river with values decreasing towards the open sea. The concentration of TOM is low for a healthy aquatic environtment. The concentration of TSS in Morosari waters is thought to reduce the brightness level of the waters which could affect the dissolved oxygen value. The concentration of TOM in Morosari waters is thought to be related to the high temperature of the water and consumption of dissolved oxygen for the decomposition of organic matter.
