Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the difference between practice-based training and theory-based training in increasing the interest of the trainees. The research method used was a quantitative experiment with a sample of 27 Lumajang MAN teachers participating in training on concept map design and learning. The data collected is in the form of a questionnaire on the teacher's interest in participating in the training. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed using the paired sample t-test technique which aims to determine the difference in the average interest of teachers in participating in practice-based training with the average interest of teachers participating in theory-based training. The results showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.187 0.05. This means that there is no significant difference between practice-based training and theory-based training in increasing the interest of the trainees.
