Abstract

How do cells stop transcribing RNA Polymerase II to promote proper gene expression and prevent transcriptional havoc in the genome? In the case of Leishmania, a uniquely modified DNA base blocks RNA Polymerase II and suggests an interesting new model for transcription termination. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd.
