Abstract

Comparative law research regarding the relationship between state and religion often uses models. These models normally run from more to less separation between state and religion. In this article it will be argued that this approach is too simple. The relationship between state and religion has various dimensions. A fragmentary overview of current issues in a number of countries shows that religion's role may differ widely in different domains. © The Author 2012.
