Abstract

Background: The objective of the research is to study the change in test cricket before and after the introduction of several T20 leagues. Test cricket is the oldest format of the game which challenges a player in terms of mental toughness, physical fitness skill and ability.Methods: Quantitative analysis was done on the basis of a few factors, which included overseas performance, runs scored by boundaries, run rate, etc. Data was taken from several online websites and MS-Excel was used to change that unstructured to structured data.Conclusion: Further analysis of the data was done and was represented graphically. On the basis of the above factors, the statistical analysis of the data showed a significant difference between these two decades (2000-2009 and 2010-2019).
