Abidinpaşa Sağlık Grup Başkanlığı'na Bağlı Sağlık Ocaklarında Çalışan Sağlık Personelinde Spielberger Durumluluk ve Sürekli Kaygı Düzeyi

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the state and trait anxiety levels of the health personnel of Abidinpa a Group Di-rectorate's Health Centers and socio-demographic, socio-economical factors which effects these levels and discuss the results. This cross-sectional study have been conducted on 143 health personnel selected from total 165 health personnel have been working in the health centers of Abidinpa a Group Directorate in the year 2000. State-Trait Anxiety Inven-tory(STAI) which is developed by Spielberger have been used to measure sate-trait anxiety level in this study. After calculation of state-trait anxiety levels, the relation with other variables were evaluated by using average scores. Stu-dent's t test and one way analysis of variance used for statistical analysis of data. Average scores of state anxiety level and trait anxiety level were found as 40.57-4.88(95%CI:39.77-41.37) and 44.88-5.97(95% CI:43.90-45.85) respectively. State and trait anxiety levels were similar according to educational status , marital status, consumption of nicotine or alcohol and important disease history. Trait anxiety level was found as high in women, persons who have mental problems, persons who were in older ages, lower economical level and auxiliary health personnel other than physicians and it increased with increasing number of children, but all these differences were not found as significant. A significant differences were found for trait enxiety in participants who have professional experience more than 10 years for total and more than five years in this institute (p<0.05). Finally, state and trait anxiety average scores of health personnel were found as high. Related factors of state-trait anxiety levels were examined and interpretted. Necessary measures related to this topic were also recommended.
