In this experiment, we investigated super-elasticity of Ti-5Cr-9Sn-0,5,10Zr and Ti-2Cr-6Sn-30,45,50Zr alloys. As-quenched microstructure transits from martensite to β phase, depending on the amount of Zr. Both Ti-5Cr-9Sn-5Zr and Ti-2Cr-6Sn-45Zr alloys with unstable β phase and have compositions which are close to the border of microstructural transition demonstrate low Young's modulus. Both alloys also exhibit two-step yielding in stress-strain curves due to stress induced martensitic transformation. However, Ti-5Cr-9Sn-5Zr and Ti-2Cr-6Sn-45Zr alloys indicate different super-elastic behavior.
