Abstract

Energy Transition demands flexibility of fossil power plants: ■ Startups/shutdowns, load cycling, low loads ■ Flexibility demands digital tools to ensure reliability and safety Reliability and safety can be enhanced with digital solutions: ■ Preventive Maintenance (PM) with critical component assessment ■ Early Fault Detection and Prognostics (FDP) FDP using Machine Learning (ML) offers a powerful tool for Predictive Maintenance Dynamic simulations help generate quality datasets for FDP as field operating data with incipient faults is always insufficient.
