Abstract
This study explores the impact of a holistic approach to community empowerment through a sheep farming program in Karanglayung Village, Sukra, Indramayu, West Java. By adopting an integrated method that encompasses economic, environmental, and social aspects, the program aims to enhance local community welfare. The research employs surveys, in-depth interviews, and field observations to assess the program's effectiveness in increasing income, creating job opportunities, and promoting sustainable farming practices. Initial findings indicate that this holistic approach successfully improves economic conditions, reduces environmental impact through efficient waste management, and enhances social cohesion within the community. The results underscore the potential of livestock farming as a tool for comprehensive community development. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners focused on sustainable rural development, particularly in the context of livestock farming in West Java.
