Abstract

Business information is a crucial asset for the management in a reta il organization which cooperates in decision n making, opera tional exec utions, and tech hnological adva ancement etc. The Information n is required to be processed through databas se so the selecti ion and identifi cation of ri ght Information n System are r equired as per the nature of the retail organ nization. There are various ty ypes of Informa ation System (I S) as Cust omer Relations ship Manageme ent System, M Management Inf ormation Syste em, Enterprises Resource Pla anning, Decisio on Support Sys tems, corp orate website et tc. It is studied in this report th hat which type o f IS fits in a la arge sized organ nization in the r retail sector. Th he analysis of ea ch IS explored representin ng the significa nce, applicatio ons, and implic ation into the selected criteri ia. It is observe ed that each I S has some specialty which meets the ex act requiremen nts of business i in different segments. Moreov ver, the justifie d identification n of IS understo ood through research study y and analysis. The identificati ion of right IS s selection is well processed un nder a proper re search design w hich concludes effective outc comes for th he research objectives
