Abstract
Studied exclusivity in heterosexual romantic relationships and its effects on the possibility of maintaining these relationships. Human Ss: 68 normal male Japanese adults (undergraduate students) (male partners in romantic relationships). 68 normal female Japanese adults (undergraduate students) (female partners in romantic relationships). Ss were administered a questionnaire. Based on the results, the couples were subdivided into 4 types of perceived dyadic stability: high–high, high–low, low–high, and low–low. An ANOVA was performed.
