Abstract

Lan et al. present the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) landscape of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) development at single-cell resolution, identifying H19 as a lncRNA pivotal for the endothelial-to-HSC transition in the aorta-gonads-mesonephros region that in trans regulates the promoter de-methylation of several critical hematopoietic transcription factors, including Runx1 and Spi1.
