Application of the Concept of ‘A Harmony with Nature’ in the Interior Design of Alila Hotel & Resort, Ubud

Abstract

Ubud is one of the world's tourist destinations favored by both local and foreign tourists, with a variety of potentials that can attract tourists such as natural beauty and cultural uniqueness. The development of tourism in Ubud which is quite busy has resulted in the construction of resort hotels in various locations. Alila Hotel & Resort is one of the resort hotels in Ubud. For that, we need an interior design in accordance with the image of the hotel that can attract many visitors. The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the application of the concept of 'A Harmony with Nature' in the interior design of Alila Hotel & Resort, Ubud. Methods of data analysis using qualitative methods that are descriptive and use a theoretical basis obtained from literature data as a guide so that the focus of the design is in accordance with the facts in the field. The results showed the application of the concept of 'A Harmony with Nature' to the elements that form space including floors, walls, ceilings, aspects of form, materials, colors and decorative elements.
