The lecture series includes 10 papers all of which are indexed separately. The aim of the papers is to review the state-of-the-art of aircraft parameter identification techniques and to provide a critical appraisal of current methods developed and applied to the problems of analysis of flight test data in a number of NATO countries. Particular emphasis is placed on practical aspects of aircraft parameter estimation in order to generate information useful to the flight test engineer in industry, applied research facilities, and universities. Special reference is also made to comparing different approaches to the aircraft parameter identification flight test and evaluation methodology under equal experimental conditions in order to provide guidelines for the user's selection and application.
