Education is very important in human life. Every human being will take education levels from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, high school and college. Education in midwifery is one of the various types of education majors available in universities around the world. Education in midwifery is a study that studies pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, postpartum mothers, newborns and toddlers. In this study, researchers want to review the system or pattern of midwifery education applied by developed and developing countries to know the system or pattern of midwifery education in developed and developing countries. This research is the framework of Arksey and O'malley. Search about Midwifery education in developed and developing countries through the Health journal database platform on Pubmed. The keywords used in the article search were (education of midwifery), (midwifery education), (implementation of midwifery education). The selection of reviews and studies in journals about midwifery education is carried out using a critical appraisal assessment using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) study tools. From the results of a review of several journals on midwifery education in developed and developing countries, the results are: a comparison of the length of midwifery education that must be taken in each developed and developing country and a comparison of the midwifery education system in each developed and developing country. From the results of the review, it can be concluded that every developed and developing country has a certain period of time to complete midwifery studies, the different education systems in each country contained in the articles reviewed have their own advantages and challenges in developing midwifery studies. This scoping review helps researchers to understand the education system implemented in several developed and developing countries.
