Blow flies (Insecta : Diptera : Calliphoridae) from Indochina

Abstract

Indochinese calliphorid fiies (91 species including one undetermined sp.) are reviewed. Lists of new localities, dtstributions, and ecological data are also given. [Dwo new species, Vbrtteia indochinica sp, nov. and V quatei sp. nov,, are described and illustrated. Thirty-nine species are recorded for the first time from the area of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Keys are provided for the identifieation of 91 species recorded from the area, excluding the fo1-lowing seven nominal taxa in need of revision: Phumosia violacea (Seguy, minuta Seguy, 1946, One new synonymy is established, based on type-exami-natien: Bengalia xanthop)tga Senior-White, 1924 (=B. asymnzetria Kurahashi and Tumrasvin, 1979, syn. nov.).
