Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh penambahan persentase serat plastik terhadap sifat fisis dan mekanik papan beton ringan. Persentase serat plastik yang digunakan adalah 0%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% dan 6%. Sifat fisis dan mekanis yang diuji berupa densitas, daya serap air, kuat tekan dan kuat lentur. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan nilai densitas dan daya serap terendah didapatkan pada sampel dengan variasi serat plastik 6% yaitu sebesar 1,58 g/cm 3 dan 11,40%. Kuat tekan dan kuat lentur mengalami peningkatan seiring meningkatnya persentase penambahan serat plastik hingga didapatkan kuat tekan maksimum pada penggunaan 4% serat plastik yaitu sebesar 59,20 kg/cm 2 , sedangkan nilai kuat lentur maksimum yaitu 49,50 kg/cm 2 pada penggunaan persentase serat plastik 4%. Kuat tekan dan kuat lentur kemudian mengalami penurunan pada penggunaan serat sebesar 5% dan 6%. Hal ini disebabkan karena ikatan mortar dan serat berkurang akibat volume serat plastik terlalu besar. Persentase terbaik didapatkan pada penggunaan serat plastik sebesar 4%, karena pada penggunaan serat plastik sebesar 4% didapatkan kuat tekan dan kuat lentur maksimum selain itu densitas dan daya serap air sudah memenuhi standar SNI maupun GRC. Kata kunci: Daya serap air Densitas Kuat lentur Kuat tekan Papan beton Keywords: Water absorptio Density Compressive strength Flexural streth Concrete board Research has been carried out on the effects of adding plastic fibers to lightweight concrete boards on their physical and mechanical properties. The percentages of plastic fibers used were 0%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% and 6%. Physical and mechanical properties tested included density, water absorption, compressive strength, and flexural strength. According to research, samples with 6% plastic fiber changes had the lowest density and absorption values, namely 1.58 g/cm 3 and 11.40% respectively. The compressive and flexural strengths increased as the percentage of plastic fibers added increased, until the maximum compressive strength of 59.20 kg/cm 2 was achieved at a percentage of plastic fibers of 4 percent, and the maximum flexural strength of 49.50 kg/cm 2 was achieved at a percentage of plastic fibers of 4 percent. The compressive and flexural strengths of the concrete were lowered by 5% and 6%, respectively, when fiber was used. This was attributed to a reduction in the binding between the concrete due to the use of too much plastic and a lower mortar percentage. The best percentage was identified in the usage of plastic fiber of 4%, because using plastic fiber of 4% resulted in maximum compressive and flexural strength, as well as density and water absorption capacity that met SNI and GRC specifications.
