Abstract

After thoughtful inquiry from another investigator seeking to replicate our study in the Netherlands, we identified three small errors in our paper. We have noted the corrections below so that the historical record could be accurate. None of these corrections change the conclusions in our original publication. On page 2338, the following regression Good sibling relationship = 5.2 − 0.1 learning difficulties (R2 = 0.06, F[0.05;5;1,561] = 20.9, p < 0.001) should instead be Good sibling relationship = 7.1 − 0.01 age of child with DS − 0.1 learning disabilities. (R2 = 0.05, F[0.05;4,1559] = 20.2, p < 0.0001) On page 2339, the following regression Parent support groups = 4.2 − 0.3 fathers + 0.3 Spanish/Hispanic/Latino + 0.1 DS only child − 0.2 DS youngest child − 0.2 Mormon, Jewish, or atheist + 0.2 Catholic, Protestant, other religion, multiple religions − 0.2 live at home (R2 = 0.09, F[0.05;9;1,594] = 17.6, p < 0.001) should instead be Parent support groups = 4.2 − 0.3 father responding + 0.3 Spanish/Hispanic/Latino + 0.1 DS only child − 0.3 DS youngest child − 0.2 Mormon, Jewish, or atheist + 0.2 Catholic, Protestant, other religion, multiple religions − 0.2 live at home + 0.048 parent's age at the time of birth − 0.016 parent's current age (R2 = 0.09, F[0.05;9;1,594] = 17.6, p < 0.001) On page 2338, the following regression Love = 6.3 − 0.1 divorced + 0.1 married, single, widowed, or with partner (R2 = 0.01, F[0.05;2;1923] = 9.37, p < 0.001) should instead be Love = 6.9 − 0.1 divorced + 0.1 married, single, widowed, or with partner (R2 = 0.01, [0.05;2;1923] = 9.37, p < 0.001).
