Abstract

In this chapter, the results from the experiments described in Chap. 5 are unified to obtain the three flavor neutrino oscillation parameters. All the mixing angles, θ12, θ23 and θ13, all themass squared differences Δm221, Δm232 and Δm231 have been obtained and Δm221 mass hierarchy has been determined. Using the measured oscillation parameters, the transition amplitudes are calculated assuming the lightest neutrino mass to be 0 for IH, NH and νe effective mass is used as a parameter for the degenerate hierarchy case. In order to obtain an insight to an possible mechanism that may determine a gross pattern of the transition amplitude, vµ-vτ symmetry and tri-bimaximal mixing are introduced as an example.
