Abstract

Viridenomycin, a new crystalline antibiotic, was isolated from the culture broth of Streptomyces viridochromogenes strain No. T-24146. Viridenomycin is a weakly acidic and lipophilic substance, which exhibits a strong absorption maximum at 310nm and shows strong activity against Trichomonas vaginalis and gram-positive bacteria. © 1975, JAPAN ANTIBIOTICS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION.
