Abstract
The historical record of the intensity and magnitude of earthquakes indicates that seismic shocks on structures can cause considerable damage and even collapse when they collide, if the separation distance between them is not sufficient be enough. This study intends to evaluate the repercussion of the seismic shock in 2 adjacent structures of reinforced concrete of 6 and 3 floors, located in the district of Cajamarca, carrying out a non-linear analysis of time-history, in order to hit the adjacent structures that present different heights.; through the use of Etabs V. 20.1, SeismoSignal and SeismoMatch software, in addition to Technical Standards E. 0.20, E. 0.30 and E. 0.60; as well as the national regulations on buildings. The acceleration records used for the analysis of the time-history factor were from the province of San Ignacio, scaling with a spectral acceleration according to the E. 030 standard. The results were analyzed with and without a seismic joint, obtaining in the form of displacement, floor shear, drift and impact force. Higher buildings suffered more damage than smaller ones when the pounding occurred.
