Abstract

When Ss are exposed to an optically minified image, objects at first appear diminutive. It was shown that with continued exposure a process of adaptation takes place in the direction of veridical size perception. Purely visual information is a sufficient condition and movement is not a necessary condition for such adaptation. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
