This study focuses on knowing: (1) how to apply reward and punishment in increasing students' learning motivation at SDN 28 Kota Selatan Gorontalo City; (2) what factors can support and hinder the application of reward and punishment in increasing the learning motivation of students at SDN 28 Kota Selatan. In collecting data, researchers used the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: (1) the application of reward and punishment at SDN 28 Kota Selatan has generally been carried out by teachers. The application of this method is carried out in learning activities, the previous teacher has understood the procedures in its application that can increase students' learning motivation; (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of reward and punishment in increasing learning motivation at SDN 28 Kota Selatan including the support of schools and teachers as well as adequate facilities and infrastructure.
