Chinese firms “going out”: An economic dynamic with political significance

Abstract

The article discusses the issues concerning political and economic conditions in China. It mentions that transparency has to be infused into Chinese companies and their motivations clarified, and they must be involved in local development by financing development projects. Moreover, it notes that Chinese firms need to change by creating conditions for becoming high-performing multinationals and enhancing their position in the global value chain.
