Abstract

The article discusses what works when K-12 schools use standards-based grading (SBG) and possible areas for future consideration as of 2020. Topics covered include the history of grading, SBG and teachers' perceptions of it, parents questions on SGB implications on higher education, and leadership lessons from SGB literature. Also noted is the continuing challenge of presenting SBG to the satisfaction of parents and teachers.
