Abstract

Air pollution and the scarcity of fuel are the results of the high level of consumption of the conventional motor vehicles. The transition to the use of vehicles, especially conventional fuel cars to electric cars, is a solution to overcome this problem. Several electric car manufacturers have marketed their products to Indonesia with various performance variations. Writing articles using the literature review method aims to determine the performance of electric cars. In Indonesia, there are several types of electric cars, namely BEV, PHEV, HEV, FCEV, and ER-EV. However, this article will focus more on BEV with the following examples of BEV cars such as BMW i3s, Hyundai Kona Electric, Hyundai Ioniq, Lexus ux300e, and Nissan Leaf. The performance of electric cars varies from brand to brand, but it is important to pay attention to the battery capacity, distance range, and charging time.
