Abstract

Voriconazole is a new antifungal agent that can be given orally and intravenously. It has proven efficacy for treating candidosis and invasive aspergillosis as well as other mould infections, such as those caused by Fusarium and Scedosporium spp. The drug is generally well tolerated. © 2004 Copyright by the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
