Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como finalidad valorar la importancia de la música tradicional ecuatoriana como elemento fortalecedor de identidad cultural dentro del proceso educativo enseñanza aprendizaje en la materia de Educación cultural artística. El estudio se realizó con un enfoque cualitativo en la investigación a través de entrevistas realizadas a una muestra de docentes profesionales de la especialidad de educación musical y artistas de música tradicional. Como principales resultados a destacar, se evidenció que la música tradicional es una estrategia imprescindible y benéfica en el desarrollo de la identidad de los estudiantes en el proceso educativo. Se presenta como un recurso didáctico que abre un amplio espacio de oportunidades para una mejor comprensión y valoración del nuestro patrimonio inmaterial. Sin embargo, la presencia de la música dentro del actual currículo de Educación cultural y artística es muy limitado, dejando inconcluso el proceso de aprendizaje significativo en la conciencia del alumnado hacia la cultura e identidad ecuatoriana.  PALABRAS CLAVE: Música tradicional; Identidad cultural; Estrategias de enseñanza musical. Traditional ecuadorian music as a strengthening element of cultural identity in students in the fifth year of basic education ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to highlight and value the importance of Ecuadorian traditional music as a strengthening element of cultural identity within the educational teaching-learning process in the field of artistic Cultural Education. It also seeks to generate its impact on fifth grade students of Basic Education through cultural mechanisms that complement development. Integral the study was based on a qualitative research, through interviews carried out in a sample of nine professionals between teachers of the specialty of music education and traditional music artists. Through the results obtained I intend to show that students will learn more about the varieties of traditional musical rhythms of Ecuador through pedagogical strategies such as motivation and constant instrumental practice. In this way, it is possible to increase the degree of affinity and taste of the student for traditional Ecuadorian rhythms. The conclusions of this work are that traditional music is an essential and beneficial strategy in the development of identity in the educational process. Such is the case that as a didactic resource it opens a wide space of opportunities for a better understanding and appreciation of our intangible heritage. However, the presence of music within the current cultural and artistic education curriculum is very limited, leaving the meaningful learning process unfinished in the students' awareness of Ecuadorian culture and identity.  KEYWORDS: Traditional music; Cultural identity ; Musical teaching strategies.
