Abstract

Radioimmunotherapy is a special form of internal radiotherapy wich uses radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies. Until now, best results were achieved in refractory lymphomas and in ovarian cancer with minimal tumor residues. Several approaches are now under investigation to enhance tumor uptake and to improve hematologic tolerance. Recent advances in radiobiology are helpful to select future indications of this new method of treatment.
