The Eastern Bolivia Mineral Exploration Project 'Proyecto Precambrico'.

Abstract

The Precambrian of E Brazil is now the subject of a major program of technical cooperation carried out jointly by British and Bolivian scientists. In an area until now unknown, four orogenic cycles have been identified ranging from 2000Ma to late Precambrian in age and a new Mesozoic alkaline province has been discovered. This article presents a geological overview of the region and an account of the mineral deposits and potential, including the first regional compilation map. -Author
