EFFECTIVENESS OF POM-POM MEDIA IN THE PLAY METHOD TO INCREASE CALCULATING CAPABILITY AT 4-5 YEARS AGE (Group A) This research is motivated low ability of students in numeracy due to lack of media and appropriate learning methods. To see the effect of media usage and learning methods in improving students' numeracy skills researchers use pom-pom media in play methods. The research method was experiment pree. This research was conducted by using one group pretest-posttest design .The study population all students of RA Baitussalam. The sample was students of group A. The instrument used is child worksheet test, and the observation sheet. This is based on Hypothesis Test results using t-test t arithmetic 3.88> t table 2,12. From this research, it can be concluded that the pom-pom media has an effect on the ability to count the beginning of the child. because the use of media and learning methods of interest to children will facilitate teachers in applying the learning materials to be delivered. Furthermore, it is expected that RA / TK / PAUD teachers to be more creative, innovative in the use of media and learning methods used. And tailored to the needs of students.
