Abstract

This paper proposes a method to extract the personal facial feature from color image. The evaluation of the feature is based on the distribution of colors and textures around facial parts such as eyes, nose and mouth. The distribution of textures does not strongly depend on the shape of the region to evaluate, and thus the proposed method is robust in face angle.
