A key to the Tasmanian Oonopidae is given and six members of the family described.Of these four are new species, namely Cornifalx insignis, Tasmanoonops fulvus,T. magnus and T. inornatus. The first species is made the type of the new genusCornifalx. It is remarkable for the unusual sexual dimorphism exhibited by the male.The hitherto unknown male of Oonopinus mollipes Hickman is described for the firsttime. Oonops pulcher Templeton, a well known European oonopid, is recorded fromTasmania for the first time and a brief description of the male given. In theAnapidae two new apneumone species are described and made the types of new genera.The first is Acrobleps hygrophilus, which has a palpless female and spins an orb web.The second is Olgania excavata, which has a deeply indented abdomen and exhibits extensivesclerotization. The family 11ysmenidae is recorded from Australia for the firsttime and is represented by Mysmena tasmaniae sp. n. The species is described and anaccount of its habits and life-history given.
