Abstract

Sepsis is a critical health threat, and its survival strictly depends on early diagnosis. A novel portable biosensor based on nanoparticle-enhanced digital plasmonic imaging is reported for rapid and sensitive detection of two sepsis-related biomarkers, procalcitonin and C-reactive protein directly from blood serum.
