MEMBANGUN ECO LIFESTYLE DENGAN KREATIVITAS DAUR ULANG DAN PENANAMAN BENIH HARAPAN UNTUK PEDULI LINGKUNGAN

Abstract

This community service aims to develop environmental awareness and eco-friendly lifestyle among students of SD Kristen Dobo, Kepulauan Aru Regency. The program involved Sobat Bumi team, school, and partners such as Pertamina Foundation, Amazon, and Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan Sorong. The activities were carried out in two stages: raising environmental awareness through education on climate change and handprint art activities, and training on creativity in recycling through making ecobricks. Furthermore, the program continued with planting hope seeds in the school area.The results of the program showed that community service activities can increase students' awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and reducing the impact of climate change. In addition, students were able to show their creativity in making ecobricks from materials that were easily available around the school environment. Planting hope seeds also became a symbol that every individual can contribute to protecting the environment and improving the condition of the earth.It is expected that this activity can serve as an example for other schools in developing environmental awareness and inspiring students to play an active role in preserving the environment.
