PERFORMANCE OF THE FRY IN-SITU COMBUSTION PROJECT

Abstract

This paper, which updates earlier information on a pilot test, reports the operation and performance of the expanded project in the Fry field, Crawford County, Ill. The overall performance of the field is shown in terms of oil-, water- , and gas production, air injection, produced gas composition, injected-air produced- oil ratio, etc, all as functions of time. Field operations have greatly influenced the performance characteristics of the project. Tests in producing wells showed considerable wellbore damage, but the subsequent workover program has substantially increased oil production.
