Abstract

Early diagnosis and detection of carcinomas can be identified using image processing techniques primarily in the case of lung carcinoma detection. Detection of these tumors in early stage is a herculean task. Computed Tomography (CT) scan images is classified into four stages – Image enhancement and Segmentation, Feature Extraction and Classification. The main objective of this paper is to explain about various methods used for lung carcinoma detection using CT scan images.
