Pembelajaran Aktif Dalam Sains: Sebuah Kajian Persepsi Siswa dan Korelasinya Dengan Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Active learning has been shown to be beneficial in learning science. However, there is still much to learn about active learning, such as how students view the active learning process and their learning outcomes. The aim of this study is to examine students' perceptions of active learning in the context of science learning at SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Penuh and to determine its relationship with their learning outcomes. Descriptive and correlational quantitative methods were employed by including 73 MIPA Grade 12 students as respondents. A questionnaire was used to collect data on students' perceptions of active learning. Descriptive statistical analysis and Pearson correlation test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that students had a positive perception of active learning, particularly in relation to action and self-reflection, while reflection with others was scored lower. A positive and significant correlation was found between students' perception of active learning and science learning outcomes, particularly in the “doing something” and “self-reflection” indicators with physics and chemistry outcomes. This finding suggests the importance of integrating practical activities and enhancing reflective activities with others in science learning to improve students' learning outcomes.
