Abstract

The Colorado River Basin is a unique space in the Pampean-Patagonian transition, characterized by a persistent socio-economic sluggishness. The period 1890-1960 is studied to assess the historical background that justifies the lack of a territorial project, the limited state presence and fragmented provincial actions on the watershed.
