Abstract

The scope ofthis project is to explore 3D character modeling, rigging and animation for animated films. Since the foundation for 3D character animation is traditional animation, research will be done on the techniques and principles used for 2D animation.The goal ofthis project is to create an original 3D character and animate it using the 12 basicprinciples ofanimation, which were introduced by Disney animators Ollie Johnston and FrankThomas. The final product will be a compelling and informative animation on the use oftwelve principles ofanimation for character animation.
