Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the Indonesian language attitude of the people of Bissoloro Village, Bungaya District, Gowa Regency; (2) factors that influence the Indonesian language attitude of the people of Bissoloro Village, Bungaya District, Gowa Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques and then transcribed for analysis. The results showed that the Bissoloro community had a positive attitude in using the Indonesian language, namely: (1) on the loyalty aspect of the people of Bissoloro Village, Bugaya District, Gowa Regency, they had a positive attitude in using Indonesian, namely the encouragement tomaintain Indonesian as their language; (2) in the aspect of pride, the people of Bissoloro Village, Bungaya District, Gowa Regency have a positive attitude towards the Indonesian language; (3) findings on the aspect of awareness, namely the Bissoloro Village community has a positive attitude with awareness in using the Indonesian language. In the second problem formulation regarding the factors that influence the Indonesian language attitude of the Bissoloro community, it is divided into 2 factors, namely internal factors and external factors.First, on internal factors, there are factors of national language contact, education factors, employment factors or economic status that affect the Indonesian language attitude of the Bissoloro Village Community. In the contact factor with the national language there are 20 informants and there are 14 people who are influenced by contact with the national language (internal). Researchers see that this is caused by the environment where the respondent lives. On the education factor, there are 14 respondents whose Indonesian language attitudes are influenced by educational factors. Based on the findings, the researcher saw that the people of Bissoloro Village had experienced developments in terms of education and this affected the language attitude of the people of Bissoloro Village, Bungaya District, Gowa Regency. On the factor of work or economic status there are 20 informants and those that affect the attitude of speaking Indonesian on the factor of work or economic status are 8 people.
