Abstract
Pertumbuhan Larva Ikan Bandeng (Chanos chanos) yang Diberikan Pakan Alami Brachionus Plicatillis dan Chlorella sp. Growth of Milkfish (Chanos chanos) Larvae Reared with Natural Feed Brachionus plicatillis and Chlorella sp. ABSTRAK Ikan bandeng sebagai ikan konsumsi yang digemari masyarakat perlu ditunjang dengan suplai benih yang cukup dan berkualitas sepanjang siklus produksi. Pakan alami memegang peranan penting dalam pertumbuhan larva ikan bandeng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati pertumbuhan larva ikan bandeng (C. chanos) yang dipelihara dengan pemberian pakan alami Brachionus plicatillis dan Chlorella sp.hingga menjadi benih yang siap untuk dipasarkan. Metode penelitian meliputi persiapan wadah, pengisian air, penebaran telur ikan bandeng, penetasan dan pemeliharaan larva serta pemanenan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan larva mengalami peningkatan setiap 3 hari pengamatan setelah penetasan. Panjang larva 5,0 mm pada hari ke-1 pasca tetas menjadi 16,00 pada hari ke-25 pasca tetas. Pertumbuhan panjang harian (mm) diperoleh hasil 11 mm, pertumbuhan panjang harian (%) diperoleh hasil 4,65% dan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak diperoleh hasil 0,44 mm. Kualitas air selama penelitian berhasil dipertahankan pada kisaran Suhu 28-29 o C, salinitas 31-32 ppt, pH 7,1-7,5 dan DO 5-6 ppm. Pemeliharaan larva ikan bandeng dengan pemberian pakan alami Chlorella sp. dan B. plicatillis mampu memberikan pertumbuhan yang sesuai standar SNI 6148.3:2013. Kata Kunci: ikan bandeng, larva, pakan alami, pertumbuhan ABSTRACT Milkfish as a consumption fish favored by the community needs to be supported by an adequate supply of good quality seeds throughout the production cycle. Natural food plays an important role in the growth of milkfish larvae. This study aimed to observe the growth of milkfish (C. chanos) larvae reared with natural feed Brachionus plicatillis and Chlorella sp. so that they become seeds ready for marketing. Research methods included preparing containers, filling water, stocking milkfish eggs, hatching and rearing larvae and harvesting. The results showed that the growth of larvae increased every 3 days of observation after hatching. The length of the larvae was 5.0 mm on the 1st day after hatching to 16.00 on the 25th day after hatching. The daily length growth (mm) was 11 mm, the daily length growth (%) was 4.65% and the absolute length growth was 0.44 mm. Water quality during the study was successfully maintained in the temperature range of 28-29oC, salinity 31-32 ppt, pH 7.1-7.5 and DO 5-6 ppm. Maintenance of milkfish larvae by providing natural food Chlorella sp. and B. plicatillis is able to provide growth according to SNI 6148.3: 2013 standards.
