EFEKTIVITAS NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER DALAM PERMAINAN GOBAK SODOR TERHADAP KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL

Abstract

This research was conducted for determine the effectiveness of the character values contained in the traditional gobak sodor game on emotional intelligence. Traditional games contain many of the character values needed to live everyday life well. This research was conducted on students of the Department of Physical Education, FKIP Galuh University who had finished following the Traditional Sports course in semester 4. Quantitative methods with survey quantitative research designs are used as research methods. Data collection was carried out by distributing 2 types of questionnaires regarding knowledge of the character values contained in the Gobak Sodor game as well as about emotional intelligence. The results of this study indicate that the variables of honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation and hard work have a significant effect on emotional intelligence. Furthermore, the results of the t test conducted showed that the variable character values of responsibility, hard work and honesty partially had a significant effect on emotional intelligence.
